Blackburn manager Mark Hughes has been handed an injury boost following the news that Jason Roberts should be fit for Rovers' next Premier League game.

Roberts, who has scored two times for Blackburn this season, has been sidelined since September after tearing his thigh in the Carling Cup victory over Birmingham.

However, Hughes has revealed Roberts resumed first-team training ahead of last Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United and that the striker could play a part in the clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage on 25th November.

"He joined in training on Saturday, and he did most of the session," Hughes told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"Obviously it was just a light preparation session for the United game, but he's back in the group and that's the first time we've seen him in a while.

"Hopefully, by the end of the international break he'll be an option again. He's got a chance for Fulham if everything goes okay."
