Dindane: Keen on English switch

Skysports.com understands Ivory Coast striker Aruna Dindane has set his sights on a move to England in January.

Lens are believed to be willing to sell the versatile attacker for a fee in the region of €7million ( £5million) when the transfer window reopens.

Dindane has established himself as one of the best attackers in Europe after five successful seasons at Anderlecht before making the move to Lens in 2005.

The 26-year-old has been one of Lens' bright spots in a disappointing season so far and his performances have caught the attention of a host of clubs.

Dindane's agent, Willie McKay says the player is keen on moving to England and joining Ivory Coast team-mates such as Didier Drogba and Kolo Toure in the Premier League.

"Aruna is considering a move away from Lens in January and he has his heart set on a move to England.

Interest

"Lens are reluctantly willing to sell him for the right price and there are a lot of clubs interested in him.

"Aruna has scored goals wherever he has been at and I believe he would ideally suited to play in England.

"He is regarded as one of the best players in the Ivory Coast squad and there are a lot of good players in that squad who already play in England."

Dindane is due to play for Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations and McKay has warned interested clubs to move quickly for him, as his price-tag could soar if he impresses at the tournament in January.

"Aruna will be playing for Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations and if he impresses his price-tag could go up and that could prove difficult for some clubs," added McKay.
