Bent: Happy to stay

Darren Bent and Dimitar Berbatov have declared that they are both committed to Tottenham.

Bent has had few opportunities to impress at White Hart Lane since joining for £16.5million from Charlton in the summer.

There has been speculation of a January switch to West Ham, but he insists he is determined to carve out a successful career for himself at Spurs.

"People are always going to pick out someone who cost a lot of money and, so far, it's fair to say Tottenham haven't seen the best of me," Bent told the Daily Mirror.

"But it's only been six months. Some people go on like I've been here for two years and it simply hasn't worked.

"But it will work, and I will turn it around."

Berbatov has been strongly connected with a move to Manchester United since rumours circulated of a fall-out with previous manager Martin Jol early in the season.

But he has returned to form in recent weeks and agent Emil Dantchev has told manager Juande Ramos he is now settled again.

"Dimitar is happy at Tottenham," said Dantchev.
