Savage: On the move?

Blackburn boss Mark Hughes insists he has not received any bids for Robbie Savage.

Former Welsh international Savage missed Sunday win at Derby with injury but he is being strongly linked with a move in January.

Sunderland, Wigan and Sheffield United are all said to be keen - but Hughes said he has heard nothing.

Speculation

"There is a lot of speculation about his future," Hughes told Sky Sports .

"But nobody has come to me asking for him so he is a Blackburn Rovers player until I say so."

Hughes insisted Savage, who travelled to Derby, was injured whilst he also confirmed Jason Roberts was fit but he was left out of the 16-man squad.

"Robbie Savage was with our medical department last night with a tight hamstring so no point in risking him - Jason Roberts was in the mix but I went with one striker," he said.

Roberts is also being strongly linked with a move away from Ewood Park and Sunderland are again said to be keen on doing a double deal, but Middlesbrough and Birmingham are also believed to be keeping an eye on his situation.
