Heinze: Third injury of the season

Real Madrid are set to be without Gabriel Heinze for two months after he sustained a leg injury in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Real Zaragoza.

The Argentinian lasted only 17 minutes of the Primera Liga encounter before having to be replaced by Miguel Torres.

The full-back was struggling with a problem in his left leg and a medical examination has confirmed that he has ruptured a muscle.

It will be Heinze's third spell on the sidelines since his summer move from Manchester United and comes at a time when he was beginning to establish himself within the first team.

Unhappy

"I am unhappy because this is a period when the team will be playing many matches," he said.

Real will now be without Heinze for a number of league games, the next round of the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League last 16 encounter with Roma.
