Mifsud: Transfer speculation

Coventry manager Ian Dowie wants to keep Michael Mifsud, Jay Tabb and Dele Adebola at the Championship club.

Speculation has mounted about leading scorer Mifsud, who has admitted he would have to consider any offer from a Premier League club.

He added to his attractiveness by netting twice against Blackburn in the FA Cup on Saturday, while Tabb's consistently fine performances also make him subject to transfer rumours.

But Dowie says the pair are 'key assets' and he would also like to keep hold of Adebola, who found the net against Blackburn.

Speaking of the situation, the Sky Blues boss told the Coventry Evening Telegraph: "There has been a huge amount of speculation about what offers we have had but we have had no offers or bids for Michael or Tabby.

"I don't know whether we will.

Assets

"My view is we have got some good players here and those two lads are key assets to taking the club forward."

With regards Adebola, Dowie added: "We would like to keep him here."

The Championship side was saved from administration by a company led by Ray Ranson before Christmas.

He is now working to have the current transfer embargo lifted at the earliest opportunity.
