Arsenal keeper willing to play for Spain or England
Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia wants an international call-up - whether that be with Spain or England.
The 30-year-old has cemented himself as first choice at Emirates Stadium ahead of Jens Lehmann this season.
However, Almunia has yet to be involved with his national team, as coach Luis Aragones currently prefers Liverpool's Jose Reina and Barcelona youngster Victor Valdes as back-up to Iker Casillas ahead of the next summer's European Championships.
The Spaniard - signed by Arsenal from Celta Vigo in July 2004 - would, though, qualify for UK citizenship next year, which could open the way for his selection by England ahead of the 2010 World Cup.
But for the moment, Almunia is focusing on maintaining his good form with the Gunners.
Almunia told Arsenal TV: "I would like to keeping going the way I am now.
"In the future, if Spain do not call me then I have to look after myself and try to play international duty."
