David Healy hopes he can save Fulham from Premier League relegation by transferring his international form to club level.

Fulham currently sit second bottom of the table and are five points from safety and Healy recognises it has been a frustrating season.

The Northern Ireland striker scored 13 goals for his country as Nigel Worthington's side went close to progressing from Group F in Euro 2008 qualifying.

And Healy, who has scored only once in Fulham's last 12 matches, is now aiming to convert his international goalscoring manner to the domestic scene, ahead of the Cottagers' FA Cup third round replay with Bristol Rovers on Tuesday.

Struggle

"It has been a disappointing season, not just personally but from a team point of view," Healy told the Daily Star. "We have struggled for goals.

"For whatever reason, and it is hard to put your finger on why, I have scored a lot of goals at international level, but I have not scored enough at club level.

"It is something I have tried to improve on, and something I thought I would improve on, but it just hasn't seemed to happen.

"Only the big man up there knows why it hasn't happened."
