Robson: Completed Celtic move

Celtic have completed the signing of midfielder Barry Robson from SPL rivals Dundee United.

Robson has agreed a three-and-a-half year contract at Parkhead and joins for a fee in the region of £1.5million.

Burnley and Nottingham Forest had also been keen on the Scotland international, but the player has opted to stay in the SPL.

He will be presented to the media on Friday, along with another Celtic new boy - Japan international Koki Mizuno.

It has been a busy month for Celtic, with the Scottish champions also signing Andreas Hinkel and Georgios Samaras, and agreeing a deal for Ben Hutchinson.

The Middlesbrough striker has already accepted a pre-contract with the Bhoys, but is holding talks regarding an immediate move.

However, that switch appears to hinge on Boro's own attempts to push through the transfer of Brazilian striker Afonso Alves from Heerenveen.

Meanwhile, Celtic attacker Derek Riordan appears to be staying at Parkhead after a deal failed to be agreed with Burnley.
