Kalou: Back with Chelsea

Salomon Kalou is confident the return of Chelsea's Africa Cup of Nations contingent will boost their bid for silverware on four fronts.

Kalou, Ivory Coast team-mate Didier Drogba, Ghana midfielder Michael Essien and Nigeria's John Obi Mikel have been absent for the past few weeks during the tournament.

But the quartet are now back with Avram Grant's squad and looking to make an impact as they chase an improbable quadruple.

The Stamford Bridge side remain in the Premier League title hunt and are through to the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League.

Grant's men tackle Huddersfield in the FA Cup fifth round this weekend before coming up against Tottenham in the final of the Carling Cup.

Stronger

Kalou told the club's official website: "Every time Chelsea had a game we asked for the score and saw the game when we could.

"I saw a couple while I was there, against Tottenham and Wigan.

"The team did well, kept winning games, and now we are back I hope the team is stronger and wins again."
