John Arne Riise is confident the Reds will bounce back from their embarrassing FA Cup defeat to Barnsley with a victory over Serie A leaders Internazionale at Anfield.

The Liverpool full-back believes a combination of his side's eagerness to avenge the weekend defeat, and their fantastic home support, will be enough to see Rafa Benitez's men past the Italians.

Optimistic

"Although it's been tough lately, I hope and believe that we can get an extra boost against Inter," Riise told Norwegian press.

"We are optimistic. We also know that we need the support and help from our fantastic supporters.

"It's always nice to play the big matches in the Champions League and we look forward to it."
