Aguero: Given his marching orders

Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero has been suspended for two games by Uefa.

Aguero was red carded in the first leg of Atletico Madrid's Uefa Cup tie against Bolton last week for spitting after reacting badly to a challenge from Matt Taylor.

The Spanish side appealed the decision, claiming that Aguero was spitting at the floor and not in the direction of an opponent.

However, Uefa has ruled that he should sit out Atletico's next two European games.

The Argentine will therefore miss the second leg against Bolton on Thursday, where Atletico will be aiming to overturn a 1-0 deficit.

If Atletico do progress Aguero will also be banned for the first leg of their last-16 clash.
