Moore seals Baggies switch

Striker Luke Moore has joined West Brom on loan from Aston Villa until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old underwent a medical at The Hawthorns earlier this week and is now in contention to make his Championship debut for The Baggies against Hull City on Saturday.

The clubs have also agreed a fee that could rise up to £3.5million for the striker, should manager Tony Mowbray wish to push through the permanent deal.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill admitted he did not want to lose Moore, but conceded that the striker was unlikely to feature enough between now and the summer.

"In an ideal world I'd have preferred Luke to have stayed around here," O'Neill told Sky Sports News.

"But I think he feels now that he's not going to get the opportunity to play in the side as often as he'd want to do.

"He's going to take this opportunity."
