Gordon: Work to do

Craig Gordon is readying himself for a relegation battle as he looks to help keep Sunderland in the Premier League.

The Black Cats currently sit four points above the relegation zone, and have demonstrated some encouraging form of late.

Roy Keane's men have picked up four league wins in their last eight fixtures, with those triumphs coming at the Stadium of Light.

And with 11 games of the season remaining, Britain's most expensive goalkeeper is fully prepared to dig deep for his side.

Trust

Gordon said: "You trust your ability and you know things will turn around. Something will turn and then you can build on that.

"I have just kept my head down and worked hard and tried to come through the other side and help this team to stay in the league.

"There is still an awful lot of hard work to do, not just myself, but the rest of the lads, to make sure that happens."
