Rosicky: Troublesome knee

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky admits that his ongoing injury problem is beginning to irritate him.

The Czech Republic international has been out of action since January with a troublesome knee complaint and is still some way off making a return to the Gunners' first-team.

Rosicky is still not fit enough to resume full training and has revealed that there is nothing he can do at the moment except rest and wait for the injury to heal itself.

"It is pretty irksome," Rosicky said on his official website.

"I still cannot start full training.

"There is nothing I can do but wait and hope that the injury goes away."

Tough draw

Rosicky also gave his opinion on last week's UEFA Champions League quarter-final draw which paired the Gunners in an all-English tie with Liverpool.

"Of course it is a tough draw and we could have drawn a weaker opponent," he said.

"I think though that last year's elimination by PSV (Eindhoven) proved that there are no easy opponents.

"If we want to keep our sights set on the final then we cannot avoid any team.

"Also, this tie will be a special one for the fans."
