Perry: Heading to South Coast
Luton defender Chris Perry has completed a loan move to struggling Championship side Southampton.
Saints manager Nigel Pearson has had to contend with several injuries to key players this season and has moved to bring in Perry for the rest of the season.
The former Wimbledon and Tottenham centre-back will go straight into the squad for Saturday's away game against Cardiff.
"Chris is a tough campaigner and a good pro who has played at the top level," Pearson told the club's official website.
"He will give us greater strength and further options, and I am delighted he is joining us."
Southampton captain Claus Lundekvam this week announced his retirement after failing to recover from a long-standing ankle problem.
Pearson has also lost Andrew Davies to a fractured cheekbone while Ian Pearce has returned to Fulham following his injury-hit loan spell.
