Crystal Palace striker Dougie Freedman is hoping to remain on loan at Leeds United long enough to fire the club to promotion.

The striker joined until the end of the season with an agreement that he will return to Selhurst Park at any point after the first month should Warnock decide to recall him.

That deal is due to expire on 3rd May, but it is unclear whether he will remain at Elland Road should the club make the play-offs.

However, Freedman has assured fans he wants to stay at Leeds until the job is done.

"I came here to win promotion," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"My contract does say that Crystal Palace can contact me back after 28 days and I think that's up, but I'll just keep my head down and turn up for the next game with my boots."
