Berbatov: Confirms interest

Dimitar Berbatov has admitted he would be flattered if Milan made a bid for him.

The Tottenham striker is high on the wanted list of most of Europe's big hitters, but Spurs have always insisted they have no intention of letting him go.

The player's agent has never been shy about letting potential suitors know that Berbatov would be willing to listen.

Now the Bulgarian marksman has reignited rumours about his future whilst speaking back in his homeland.

Berbatov was in Sofia to receive an award and also promote the launch of his own sporting foundation. Whilst in the Bulgarian capital he was asked about his future by the local media.

And the Spurs man revealed that the interest of Milan was already there.

"All I can say is that there was an interest from the Italian club, that is all I can say," said Berbatov when asked about Milan.

"If it produces negotiations I will be flattered."

He was also asked again about Manchester United - who are also known admirers of him and he added: "I know that Sir Alex [Ferguson] wants me for a quite a while, but at the moment I am a player of Tottenham."

Berbatov's future will no doubt be analysed closely by Tottenham coach Juande Ramos - who is set to overhaul the Spurs squad this summer, despite their success in winning the Carling Cup.
