Everton keeper Tim Howard believes Radhi Jaidi's behaviour prior to Birmingham City's equaliser was out of order.

The Tunisian defender simply jumped around and stared at Howard behind The Toffees' wall prior to Mauro Zarate lashing home Blues' leveller.

Howard believes Jaidi's actions constitute ungentlemanly behaviour and that the officials should have clamped down on his actions.

"I tried to draw the referee's attention to what he was doing," explained Howard.

"He was in an offside position and he was interfering but that's up to the referee to make that call and you wouldn't bet on them making it.

Ungentlemanly conduct

"He was in my line of sight. I suppose it's ungentlemanly conduct in a way but he got away with it.

"If you want my personal opinion. I don't think referees and linesmen in the Premier League are going to have enough gumption to disallow a goal on the basis of that.

"And that's the way it is. If a guy robs a bank and you don't catch him, then he keeps the money."

Former Bolton man Jaidi says the ploy was something he learned at The Reebok, although it was not something he had been working on in training.

"I've not done it before but it's something we used to do there - Kevin Nolan did it all the time. Yes, I learned it from him I suppose," admitted Jaidi.

"It's not something I've practised, I just thought I'd give it a go."
