Flamini: Future in doubt
Juventus are ready to swoop for Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini, according to Juve director Jean-Claude Blanc.
The 24-year-old France international is out of contract at The Emirates at the end of the season, and has yet to put pen-to-paper on an extension.
Speculation has been rife that a number of clubs are keen to sign Flamini, with Juventus linked with a move.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently stated that a decision over his future is imminent; however Juventus have now confirmed their interest.
Reports in Italy claim Juve will offer the tenacious midfielder a five-year deal, worth in the region of £3million per season.
"This is an important player who we have been chasing for some time," Blanc said in Corriere dello Sport.
"And it will have to be good to take him because many teams are interested.
"In order to convince champions you need to take into account their ambitions. To get champions you have to think big."
Flamini signed for Arsenal from Marseille in 2004, and has made the centre-midfield position his own this season after previously struggling to hold down a regular first-team berth.
