Serbian feels United have stronger squad

Nemanja Vidic believes Manchester United have a much better chance of making it through to the UEFA Champions League final than they did 12 months ago.

United lost to Milan at the semi-final stage last season and face another tricky tie against Spanish giants Barcelona this term.

However, Vidic is confident of progressing to the Moscow showpiece and ultimately lifting the trophy.

The Serbian defender feels United have a stronger squad and that all the key players will head into the clash with Barca in a fresher condition.

"Last season we didn't do well in our semi-final and we want to fix that," Vidic told Sky Sports News.

"We want to play much better and get to the final and win the trophy.

"We played with the same squad all the way last season and had a couple of injuries and maybe that is why we didn't do so well.

"This season we have a bigger squad and I hope we will play well in the last few games."
