Schlaudraff: On the move
Bayern Munich forward Jan Schlaudraff is to join Bundesliga rivals Hannover in the summer.
Bayern Munich executive manager Uli Hoeness confirmed last week that Schlaudraff could leave the club after a difficult first season at the Allianz Arena in which he has been given few opportunities to shine by coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.
The 24-year-old has now put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with Hannover and will hope to kick-start his career.
"We have been looking to bolster our strike force and in Jan have found the perfect man for our team," Hannover sport director Christian Hochstatter told the club's official website.
Reds coach Dieter Hecking, who previously worked with Schlaudraff at Aachen, also expressed his delight at the signing.
"I know Jan very well of course and I'm convinced that his style of play will help us," he commented.
No details of the fee have been officially revealed although German media reports claim that Hannover have paid around 2million euros for Schlaudraff's services.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's Miroslav Klose is facing a fitness battle ahead of Thursday's Uefa Cup semi-final against Zenit St Petersburg.
The striker suffered a foot injury during Saturday's German Cup final victory over Borussia Dortmund and was unable to take part in training on Tuesday.
