Manchester United duo Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher have set their sights on winning the UEFA Champions League after reaching the final.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men set up an all-English final against either Chelsea or Liverpool with a 1-0 win over Barcelona at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Liverpool and Chelsea go head-to-head in the second semi-final, live on Sky Sports 2 on Wednesday and Carrick and Fletcher will be interested observers to see who United will face in Moscow on 21st May.

England midfielder Carrick admitted it was major relief to reach the showpiece after a tense victory over Barcelona.

"There was a few heart-stopping moments towards the end but we managed to get through it," Carrick told Sky Sports News.

Relief

"You could see the feeling in the boys at the end it was a bit of relief, obviously to get through and achieve what we have wanted to do so far and obviously the plan is to go on and win it."

Carrick says he is not bothered who United will face in the final, but concedes it will be a massive occasion.

"Whoever is put up in front of us we have to get past," added Carrick

"It is going to be a huge game for different reasons - Chelsea are obviously challenging for title and if it's Liverpool they are big local rivals.

"We are happy with anything really, we can enjoy it."

Scottish midfielder Fletcher, who made a late cameo against Barcelona from the bench, says the whole squad is determined to finish the job off and win the European Cup for a third time in the club's history.

"The club has not been to enough finals and just to get to another one is great and as we have said it is only part of job done as we want to win in Moscow," added Fletcher.

Difficult

"It is going to be difficult game no matter who it is.

"We can just relax now and sit back and enjoy the game and no matter who it is, it's going to be difficult game but we will be confident going into it.

"But we have two massive league games to focus on now and that is what our concentration is going towards."

United defender Mikael Silvestre, who replaced the injured Patrice Evra late on, felt United got their tactics right to snuff out the threat of Barcelona.

Silvestre said: "I think tactically we played really well and controlled Barcelona.

"They had a lot of possession, but didn't create many chances and that is why this season we are in the final."
