Flamini: Considering his future
Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini could resolve his future before Sunday's home game against Everton.
The 24-year-old Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season, with Juventus just one club believed to be interested in taking him away from the Emirates, and manager Arsene Wenger is expecting a decision by Saturday.
Wenger had initially hoped to find out if Flamimi was leaving by the end of April, but he told Arsenal TV Online on Friday: "It is still not sorted out. We should get an answer today or tomorrow.
"I'm always positive because I believe the link he has with the club will be stronger than all the other different attractions that he can have.
"I know that if it's down to football then he will stay here. If it's down to football or financial resources he might not stay here.
"He is free to choose a different direction, everybody is free out of contract and you have to respect that."
Alexander Hleb has also been linked with a move to Serie A, but although Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini has admitted an interest in the Belarus international, Wenger insists Arsenal are yet to be contacted regarding his availability.
Wenger also admitted his surprise at Keith Edelman's decision to stand down as managing director and seek a "fresh challenge".
"We didn't expect that and I don't know why (he is leaving)," Wenger added.
"Does he go somewhere else or has he chosen a different direction? You have to respect that.
"He has done well in a very difficult period and everybody is conscious of that."
