Commons: Offered new deal
Skysports.com understands Nottingham Forest have tabled a new contract offer to Kris Commons to stop him moving to rivals Derby.
Derby are interested in signing Commons and are ready to offer him a lucrative deal to lure him to Pride Park.
Rams boss Paul Jewell is a big fan of the classy midfielder and wants Commons to be the first of many new faces at the relegated outfit.
Commons' current deal at Forest expires in June and he is weighing up his options before deciding his future.
With Forest having secured promotion to the Championship they have now turned their attentions to trying to secure Commons' long-term future.
Forest have held talks with Commons and they are now waiting to see if the winger will decide to extend his stay at the City Ground or move on.
