Rochemback: Accepts Sporting deal
Fabio Rochemback has sealed his Sporting return after accepting a three-year deal with the Portuguese club.
The Brazilian midfielder was on the look out for a new club after Boro opted against taking up the two-year option on the former Barcelona man.
The 26-year-old travelled to Portugal earlier on Tuesday and has now concurred on a long-term deal with UEFA Champions League outfit.
"It is good for both sides," said Rochemback, who has admitted he is looking forward to living in Portugal again.
"So many things made me accept the offer. I know the club, the people working for the club, and there was the Champions League, which is very important for any football player.
"Life here (in Portugal) is different to that in England."
