Sylvain Ebanks-Blake has set his sights on making the grade in the Premier League with Wolves.

The former Manchester United striker topped the Championship scoring charts this season, netting 23 goals in total for Plymouth and Wolves.

Ebanks-Blake left Home Park for Molineux in the January transfer window but was part of a squad left disappointed by their failure to reach the end of season play-offs.

Mick McCarthy's men only missed out on a top-six place on the slenderest of margins, with their goal difference one worse than Watford.

Despite the disappointment of this season, Ebanks-Blake has no plans to move away from Molineux as he is enjoying playing regular first-team football.

Test

He told Sky Sports News: "I'm happy at Wolves and I'm playing games. If you ask any player what they want to be doing on a Saturday afternoon, they all want to be playing games and scoring goals.

"While I've got the opportunity to do that I wouldn't change it.

"I want to play in the Premier League, I think any player wants to. I want to test myself at the highest level to see what I'm about as a professional.

"Whether I'm ready for it now or not remains to be seen, but I feel that at some point I'll be a Premiership player.

"I'm pretty confident that I'll do well and consistently play in the Premiership for a long point in my career."

Hurts

Despite the honour of finishing the campaign top of the Championship scoring charts, Ebanks-Blake would much rather have secured a top-six finish.

He added: "I would have swapped my goals for a play-off place. I wanted to be in the play-offs where some of the boys are now.

"We were unfortunate. To miss out on goal difference hurts even more but we are looking strong for next season and hopefully we can get an automatic promotion place.

"I'm happy at Wolves. I've had a great six months there since I've moved. The manager has been brilliant with me, the staff and all the players have been brilliant with me."
