Nicolas Anelka has ruled out a move away from Chelsea despite being frustrated with his lack of first-team opportunities.

The Frenchman has been linked with a switch away from Stamford Bridge less than six months after his arrival from Bolton.

Anelka has scored just two goals since his move as he has struggled to claim a regular place in Avram Grant's starting XI.

The former Arsenal and Liverpool ace looks set to be on the bench again in next week's UEFA Champions League final against Manchester United, but despite his frustration Anelka says he will not be seeking a move away from Chelsea.

"No, I am staying. Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world so there's no point moving again because we contest the Champions League and Premier League title," Anelka told the News of the World.

"I have moved too many times. Even if I am on the bench, I am glad to be here. I am still new to the club. I try to do my best when the manager asks."

The 29-year-old has been used in an unfamiliar left wing role on occasion this season and Anelka is hoping he will get more action in his preferred forward role next term.

"I really hope I start more games next season. I hope I will play in my best position," added Anelka.

"When I play in my best position, I will produce my best but when I play on the right or on the left it's difficult because I have never played in these positions before."
