Chelsea's Portuguese defender Richardo Carvalho would welcome his national boss Luiz Felipe Scolari joining him at Stamford Bridge.

The Portugal boss has been strongly linked with the vacant Chelsea job following Avram Grant's sacking last Saturday.

While Scolari - who won the 2002 World Cup with Brazil - wants to concentrate solely on the impending Euro 2008 finals, Carvalho would welcome his national coach at Chelsea.

"I would be very satisfied if Scolari joined Chelsea," Carvalho told a press conference shown on Sky Sports News as the Portuguese team prepare for the finals.

Very happy

"He would do an excellent job. I know him and how he works.

"But even though there is no confirmation that he is going, I would be very happy to work with him at Chelsea."
