Miller: Seeking Rams exit
Kenny Miller is keen to discuss a summer transfer with Scottish Premier League giants Rangers.
The Derby striker brought his season to a close with an appearance for Scotland in their 3-1 defeat to Czech Republic on Friday and is now hoping to open negotiations over a return to Ibrox.
He would become the first man to cross the Old Firm divide twice, having also turned out for the Gers' arch rivals Celtic during the 2006/07 season.
Despite the backlash which is likely to greet his return to Glasgow, the forward admits that he would welcome the opportunity to work with Walter Smith and Ally McCoist again after producing his best form during the duo's time in charge of the national side.
"I think it would be silly to knock that on the head before speaking to anybody so we will wait and see," he said.
"If it happens, it happens. I've worked with Walter and Ally before and felt they got the best out of me so I would love to go back and work with them.
"The season is finished now so it's time to sit down and see what's on offer. I'm sure over the coming weeks it will be a lot clearer than it is at the moment."
Despite suffering the first defeat of the George Burley era away in Prague, Miller remained upbeat about Scotland's chances heading into the 2010 World Cup qualifiers in the autumn.
"I thought we had a good first half performance and matched them in all areas and we were unfortunate not to get a couple of goals as well," he said.
"They are a good team and we can definitely take a lot from the performance. The result was disappointing but it's all about getting ready for the World Cup qualifiers in September.
"Three or four lads got their first caps, which is always good. And David Clarkson getting his goal was brilliant for him.
"We also have to be pleased with the way we played - that is the most possession we have had in an away game in a long time and we kept the ball well.
"There were a few call-offs and some lads got their chance in the team so there are definitely a lot of positives to take."
