Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has stressed that Sergio 'Kun' Aguero is not for sale.

The highly-rated Argentine striker, hailed as the 'new Diego Maradona', has made a big impression in Madrid over the last two years.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old and reports over the weekend suggested they had made a staggering offer of €55million (£43.7million).

However, Cerezo has reacted to the speculation by insisting that Atletico have no intention of letting Aguero leave.

Final word

Cerezo is also convinced that Aguero sees his future at Atletico.

He said: "Kun (Aguero) isn't for sale. He's a key player for Atletico in the coming years.

"Neither Kun nor the club wants him to go. Aguero wants to play here and we want him to stay and that's my final word on it."
