Shrewsbury manager Paul Simpson has admitted that he is keeping tabs on defender Graeme Lee.

The 31-year-old was released by Doncaster last season after making just five appearances in their promotion-winning League One campaign.

Lee joined Shrewsbury on loan in March but his move was cut short through injury.

However, Simpson has followed his progress and is refusing to rule out a move.

"He's one of a number of players I might speak to and see what their thoughts are," Simpson told the North Shropshire Chronicle.

"No offer has been made to Graeme Lee, and the PFA list of available players came out on Monday so I'm looking through that.

"I had conversations with Graeme between him leaving here and Doncaster's Wembley appearance.

"I've not spoken to him since he left Doncaster, but it's something I may do."
