Fabregas: Ready for Italians

Cesc Fabregas is certain Spain are set to end a 44-year wait for international glory at Euro 2008.

Spain came through the group stages with three straight successes to set up a quarter-final encounter against world champions Italy.

And Arsenal midfielder Fabregas has a strong feeling that 2008 is set to be Spain's year after so many disappointments in the past.

"We're going to do it. We're going to win," Fabregas said. "We have to do it however we can. If we have to play ugly, we'll do so."

Italy largely stuttered to qualification in Group C, and Fabregas is backing his team-mates to outplay Roberto Donadoni's men on Sunday.

Aragones headache

He added: "We have to be ready and we have to play our own game. With the ball, the Spanish national team is better than Italy."

Spain coach Luis Aragones made 10 changes to his side for their final group game against Greece, and he has admitted that a some performances have handed him a selection headache.

"Things are basically clear but the play of some has me thinking, I'm not sure which team will play," said Aragones.
