Shorey: Keen to leave
Nobody has made us an offer for the player.
Reading on Shorey
Quotes of the week
Reading have played down talk Nicky Shorey will definitely be leaving the Madejski Stadium this summer.
Following the Royals' relegation from the Premier League, speculation over the England international's future has intensified.
Although Reading hinted they would listen to offers for the want-away defender last month, they now insist it is not certain the left-back will be moving on.
Director of football Nicky Hammond has confirmed that no offers have been received 27-year-old former Leyton Orient man.
"People are working on the assumption that Nicky Shorey will move on during the summer," said Hammond. "Bit it simply hasn't gone that far.
"Nobody has made us an offer for the player and even if they do it does not necessarily mean he will go."
