Adebayor: More uncertainty
Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has given conflicting messages over his future as he pledged to stay with the club at midday, before just over an hour later, in an interview with Sky Sports News, conceding he could yet still sign for Milan.
The assembled press must have thought Adebayor was set for a stay at Emirates Stadium after his press conference, but when quizzed later on whether there was any chance of a move to Milan he replied: "Nothing has been decided yet. We will decide next week."
Togo international Adebayor has been the subject of fevered speculation all summer, with Milan having declared their interest in bringing him to Italy.
Arsenal have remained tight-lipped on the player's future but now Adebayor has come out to comment on his situation in North London; albeit with sentiments that will likely confuse all parties.
On Thursday, super agent Vincenzo Morabito stated that the forward was '80 per cent certain' of joining Milan but this prediction appeared to be somewhat ill-founded, at least when Adebayor spoke at a press conference.
He said: "I have three more years with Arsenal, I have a good team there, I have a good contract.
"The most important thing is to keep enjoying myself. Of course (I am staying) I have three more years.
"You can see people changing clubs because of money, because they want a change of atmosphere or to get their names in the big leagues. I just play football to enjoy myself. I play because I love it.
"We all have the same ideas and we all want to achieve something. We have a good boss which is Arsene Wenger, he tries to bring this atmosphere to the dressing room where we feel like brothers and like family.
"Those are the reasons that give us a chance to play the football we play. We play good football, now we look forward to winning trophies."
Adebayor's comments would likely have been well received in the capital but later, in a one-on-one interview with Sky Sports, the player was considerably more ambiguous with regards his future.
"I am a footballer, I have a three-year contract at Arsenal but as you know, a lot of clubs are interested in me," he told Sky Sports News.
"At the moment we are just going to sit down and talk and decide what to do.
"Nothing has been decided yet. We will decide next week."

Ade has shown this year he has an eye for goal and can create opportunities for players around him, he's young and should improve. i support liverpool however i respect the arsenal team simply because the manager is a genius. its nothing short of amazing how wenger can cope with losing not good players but his teams STAR player year by year and replacing them with kids. it seems the board have got use to this and don't think twice about accepting bids from big clubs, however the manager can't be expected to do what he does every year. it will soon result in wenger walking away from the club!!!

At the beginning of last season our no 1 striker was Van Persie. If he can stay fit he is still no 1 even though Ade had a great season. If we can get 25 million I say take the profit (18 million). Bentner is better in the air than Ade, although not as quick, and he will improve. Spend the money on an attacking midfielder.

adebayor is a great striker. if he stays its great because we have a super striker who scores lots of goals, and if he goes ( probably for about £25-30M) arsenal can use that money to buy a new striker like villa, guiza or eto'o.

adebayor is a good striker at the moment he scored 30 goals and could have easily had 50 he missed about 3 one on ones every match the only way forward for arsenal is to keep adebayor and get rid of the useless players like niklas bendtner

I dont belive that adebayor will leave arsenal this season, however if he did leave i think the perfect replacement would be Dani Güiza saying that, Güiza and Adebayor would be a deadly combination at the front, having both netted 20+ goals last season!

Yawn! What is it with these long drawn out transfers these day. Adebayor, Ronaldo, will they stay or go? Who pays the highest salary there's your answer. Players have all the power and run the game.

if ade wants to go then leave him. take the 30 million. as we have seen every striker arsenal sell, they are replaced the next season. henry replaced anelka and adebayor replaced henry. we have the best players in the world. i would like to see arsenal get david silva, nasri and a good midfielder. take the money and run!!!

Let's cash in! Half a decent season is all we've had from him so far anyway! Let's face it he is so wasteful infront of goal, let's take the money and buy a new hit man to partner da silver and RVP. Its about Caros Vela next season!!!

If we are offered £30m+, we should snap Milan's hand off. Adebayor is no Thierry Henry, most of his goals come from our great build up play, which I think we could quite easily replace for a fraction of that money. As for Peter Crouch, think we should steer well clear. My grandad has a three legged donkey which arsenal could sign instead for £10.

I hope Adebayor meant what he said in his press conference. Fed up with the predictable summer raids from the Italians and Spanish. Anelka , Overmars, Petit, Vieira and Henry all taken by other leagues. Note what they did when they left! We found, invested and developed the guy and he's going to be sensational (already is). He is indispensible and with a fit van Persie and hopefully Eduardo we can boast a forward line to match anyone. We need to do whatever it takes to keep our number 25!

Arsenal yet to sign anyone. Flamini, Adeboyar, Hleb on the way out. Totenham only London club to win silverware last year. Signed more players and have a bigger squad than arsenal. better than ronaldo - be realistic. Wenger should leave to France. Man u , chelsea look to strong for Arsenal and liverpool to compete next term. i hope Arsenal do well as I am a london man but you need new signings and more improtantly a new manager. you have been in denial way too long.

I hope he stays too. If he dosen't who's out there that wenger could buy? Although I think we have a good crop of strikers. Another thing, why is it over the last few years we are unable to hold on to our best players?
