Gorkss: On the move
Kaspars Gorkss is expected to complete a move to Queens Park Rangers next week after agreeing personal terms with the club.
Blackpool had previously refused Rangers permission to speak with the Latvian defender, threatening to report the wealthy West London side to the Football League if they made an illegal approach.
The Seasiders' chairman Karl Oyston was quoted at the time as saying he would rather the 26-year-old went to "any club other than QPR".
However, Blackpool have since relented and an agreement between the two clubs would appear imminent.
"Gorkss has agreed personal terms with the Rs and the deal is expected to be finalised early next week," read a statement on QPR's official website.
Gorkss has spent the last 18 months at Bloomfield Road, becoming a firm fans' favourite.
However, he is thought to have a release clause in his contract which allows him to leave for just £250,000.
