Adebayor: Interest from Milan
Milan claim that Arsenal are prepared to discuss a possible deal for Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Togolese striker has been the subject of much debate this summer, with Spanish giants Barcelona also expressing an interest in the powerful forward.
However, it is Milan who have made the first move as they step up their efforts to bolster their attacking unit.
The Serie A side have made no secret of their desire to get a world-class hit-man on board during the close season and would appear to have identified Adebayor as the ideal candidate.
"Today Arsenal sent us a letter saying they were willing to talk to us about Adebayor," Galliani told Antenna3 television.
"The letter from Arsenal that says, 'Following our communication of 13th June, in which we informed you we were not willing to deal over Adebayor, now we are writing to tell you that we will consider a deal if it still interests you'.
"If Adebayor decides to leave, Milan definitely want him but it is clear that if an offer arrives from Barcelona it would be difficult for him to say no."
Milan had previously been put off by the Gunners' valuation of the player, but have since had a change of heart and may be about to test Arsenal's resolve with a big-money move.
However, if the Rossoneri fail in their attempts to land Adebayor they are still interested in Chelsea pair Didier Drogba and Andriy Shevchenko.
Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to sign another forward after allowing Alberto Gilardino to join Fiorentina and facing a prolonged period of time without the services of former World Player of the Year Ronaldo.
