Trezeguet: Door could be reopened

Juventus striker David Trezeguet is prepared to play for France again, but only if 'things change'.

Trezeguet retired from international football earlier this month after Raymond Domenech was retained as France coach.

The 30-year-old had been left out of Domenech's squad for Euro 2008 and was 'really annoyed' the coach was not sacked after Les Bleus failed to make it beyond the group phase.

However, after playing in a match to mark the 10th anniversary of France's 1998 World Cup win on Saturday, Trezeguet would be keen to represent his country.

Extraordinary

The forward enjoyed his appearance at the Stade de France, although it would appear he will only make his international return when Domenech leaves his post.

"When I took the field at Stade de France, I received an extraordinary reception," Trezeguet told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Yes, if things change, the door to the national team could be reopened."

Trezeguet scored 34 goals in 71 appearances for France, with his last cap coming in the friendly against England back in March.
