Neil Warnock is happy for Carl Fletcher to stay at Crystal Palace but has warned the midfielder that there is no guarantee of first team football.

It was anticipated the former Eagles captain would quit Selhurst Park in the summer, having fallen down the pecking order since Warnock took charge.

Warnock had given the green light for the Wales international to move on, if a suitable offer was made, but should one not be forthcoming he would have no problem keeping Fletcher in his ranks.

He told the South London Press: "I've not had any concrete offers for Carl. Plymouth asked about him but they haven't made a definite offer and I'm not bothered if they don't. I'd be happy to keep him at the club.

"Carl's probably not going to be in my first team but things change very quickly in football and he's a good lad to have around."
