Eto'o: No Real return

Ramon Calderon has dismissed reports that Real Madrid want to sign Samuel Eto'o and claimed that the club are now just passive observers of Cristiano Ronaldo's next move.

Los Merengues' supremo was asked about the latest rumours in the Spanish media that saw the reigning league champions linked with their former striker, who now plies his trade at Camp Nou.

Just as was the case when the Blaugrana were linked with Robinho, the non-aggression pact between the two sides stands and Calderon explained that is why he had not even considered Eto'o.

Denial

"There is no Eto'o case. I do not know where this has come from because more than anything, it is logical, that Barcelona would not sell a player to Real Madrid," Calderon told Marca.

"We have a very strong squad that has just won the league. If we do end up signing players, there will be very few and they will be very good."
