Arshavin: Set to demand high wages
Andrei Arshavin's agent has told Sky Sports News that the Zenit St Petersburg playmaker would be interested in a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Arshavin has been strongly linked with a transfer away from Petrovsky Stadium after he impressed for Russia at Euro 2008.
Barcelona have so far failed in their attempts to sign the 27-year-old after their offer of £12million fell short of Zenit's reported asking fee of £24million.
The Russian champions recently claimed that Spurs have made an enquiry for Arshavin; however the North London club have yet to confirm or deny the reports.
The in-demand star has previously expressed his desire to sign for Barca, but, with the Spanish giants seemingly unwilling to up their previous bid, the player's agent has suggested he would be keen to sign for Tottenham.
Arshavin's representative, Dennis Lachter, has also revealed that the forward will demand high wages, with press reports on Friday claiming he is seeking £100,000-a-week.
Lachter told the Daily Mirror: "The price is very high, as are the personal terms.
"Let us see what happens in the future. It may need English clubs to sell some players first."
Meanwhile, Zenit have been fined €37,000 (£29,200) by Uefa for racist behaviour by their supporters during their match against Marseille last season.
Zenit fans also broke Uefa rules by unveiling a political banner and setting off fireworks.
A Uefa spokesman said: "Our disciplinary committee fined Zenit for racist conduct by their fans, the use of pyrotechnics and the display of a political banner during their match against Marseille.
The Uefa Cup holders have three days to appeal.
