Pulis: Hopeful over Sorensen

Stoke boss Tony Pulis believes the potential signing of Thomas Sorensen is a coup for the club.

Sorensen is in talks with the Premier League new boys over a move to the Britannia Stadium after impressing on trial.

The Dane is available on a free transfer after leaving Aston Villa at the end of last season and Pulis believes he has got a bargain on his hands if Sorensen signs on with Stoke.

"Well we are hoping that will be sorted out, I think Thomas is talking to his agent as we speak," Pulis told Sky Sports News.

"He has come in and trained very, very well, he looks the part and we are hoping to get that done if we can.

"Free transfer as well and we have been quoted some ridiculous prices for lots of players this year, but to get Thomas, who has been involved in something like 400 Premier League games as well, it would be a great, great signing for our football club.

"It is just another positive step and another step forward."
