Eto'o: Gathering interest
Barcelona technical secretary Txiki Begiristain has claimed that 'four or five' clubs are interested in signing Samuel Eto'o.
The Cameroon international has been tipped to leave the Camp Nou this summer after coach Pep Guardiola admitted the striker did not feature in his plans.
Begiristain explained that while no official offers have been received for Eto'o, a number of sides are keen to land the 27-year-old.
"Samuel has to have an agreement, after this we will start negotiations. But first he has to be happy," he told Sky Sports News .
"We are waiting for this agreement. When we know we'll know what his situation is, we will know what he can give to us.
"Of course big clubs are interested. But this is not important. First he needs to have an agreement with a club.
"If he moves, it'll be to a big club, of course. There are four or five clubs interested."
Begiristain also hinted that Barca may lodge a bid for Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor if they receive a 'big offer' for Eto'o.
He added: "We are waiting for Eto'o. If we receive a big offer for him then we can study that option.
"For us, first we have to sell a player, then we can get another one. Then we will try to get the best player that we can.
"He (Adebayor) is one of the biggest strikers in football. There are four or five strikers that could be at our club, and Adebayor is one of those."
