Luke Guttridge has signed a two-year deal at Northampton, skysports.com understands

The 26-year-old had been on trial with the Cobblers and has done enough to earn a move to Sixfields.

Northampton confirmed last week they planned to hold talks with Guttridge and now both parties have agreed a deal.

Guttridge's agent, Richard Cody, claims the player turned down more lucrative offers to make the move to Stuart Gray's side.

"Luke is delighted to have sealed his move to Northampton on a two-year deal," Cody told skysports.com.

"He is happy to have signed for a club that he felt wanted at.

"He turned down bigger offers elsewhere, which is refreshing in today's game."
