Coleman: Critical of Dowd
Coventry City manager Chris Coleman is unsure if he regrets his reaction to referee Phil Dowd's display on Saturday.
Coleman was sent from the touchline for his protests against Bristol City as his side slumped to a 3-0 loss at the Ricoh Arena.
The Sky Blues boss was left incensed after he felt a number of decisions went against his team.
Coleman is willing to accept his impending punishment from the Football League, but admits it is 'very difficult' to say if he regrets venting his frustration towards Dowd's performance.
He told Sky Sports News: "There were continuous decisions given against us and I reacted badly.
"I know this season we are to respect the referee - rightly so - and I didn't react in a great way.
"But I was disappointed with Phil Dowd, who is a very capable referee. I was disappointed with his performance in the first half.
"I reacted in a way that I shouldn't have. I will be punished for that, no doubt, and I will take that.
"It is very difficult to say if I regret my reaction. I should have maybe sat down and thought about it a bit longer.
"But I defy any manager when it gets like that just to sit back.
"When he was called over we had a little chat and I lost my temper. I was sent to the stands and what's done is done."
