Adebayor: Togo fall-out

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is ready to put the Gunners' trophy quest ahead of his international commitments following a fall-out with the Togo FA.

Adebayor is unhappy with Togo's organisation for matches and has opted out of their World Cup qualifier with Swaziland next Saturday to remain in London.

"I have told Togo's governing body they have to change how they organise trips if they want me to play again," Adebayor told the Daily Star Sunday.

"I am not retiring for good as I love my country - but I had to wait at an airport for 14 hours on my last trip. It is not normal and I can't let it happen again.

"Also, Arsenal are still playing in all four competitions so for me that has to come first."

Adebayor, 24, has scored six times for Arsenal this season since agreeing a new contract in the summer.
