Folan: Call-up
Five more players have been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad by boss Giovanni Trapattoni ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Cyprus.
Caleb Folan, Kevin Foley, Anthony Stokes, Keith Andrews and Darron Gibson have all been elevated to the senior squad after starting Thursday night's 2-0 win for a representative XI over Nottingham Forest at Dalymount Park.
Blackburn midfielder Andrews and Wolves defender Foley have yet to play a competitive senior international, whilst Sunderland's Stokes has three caps and Manchester United midfielder Gibson two.
Trapattoni had originally named a 21-man squad which did not include the injured Steve Finnan, Stephen Kelly and Steven Reid.
The Republic will be looking to extend their five-match unbeaten run against Cyprus, who dashed their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2008 two years ago with a 5-2 victory in Nicosia.
Ireland began their World Cup campaign with a 2-1 victory over Georgia in Germany followed by a 0-0 draw away against Montenegro last time out.
