Dagenham moved up to second in League Two after a comfortable 2-0 win over struggling Barnet to continue their stunning start to the season.

On-loan Portsmouth winger Matt Ritchie broke the deadlock with his second goal in two games, when his header was fumbled into the net by Lee Harrison after nine minutes.

The Daggers continued to dominate proceedings in the first half, as Solomon Taiwo hit the inside of the post, while Peter Gain volleyed just over from the edge of the area.

Ben Strevens made it 2-0 after 69 minutes when a richochet in the box deflected in off the former Barnet striker.

Harrison redeemed himself with a fine save from Ritchie, but apart from a John O'Flynn effort that drifted wide, the Bees were well beaten.
