Van Persie: Ready to face Norway

Robin van Persie has declared himself ready for action ahead of Holland's 2010 World Cup qualifier with Norway on Wednesday.

The Arsenal striker was forced to sit out a 2-0 win over Iceland on Saturday as he nursed a hamstring injury.

He has now shaken off that knock and is back in contention for boss Bert van Marwijk.

"I'm available, now it's up to the coach," he told NOS.

Van Persie's return is a rare piece of good news for van Marwijk as he prepares to take his troops to Oslo.

Hamburg midfielder Nigel de Jong and Atletico Madrid defender John Heitinga have been ruled out with knee problems, while Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben and Celtic forward Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink remain out of action.

However, Real Madrid playmaker Wesley Sneijder should be available after stepping off the bench at the weekend.
