Ramsey: Bellamy praise

Craig Bellamy is keen to help Aaron Ramsey develop into a world-class midfielder with Wales.

The talented teenager earned a £5million move to Arsenal over the summer after a series of impressive displays for Cardiff and the Wales Under 21 side.

Ramsey has been strongly tipped to win his first cap in John Toshack's full international squad, with the Wales boss always keen to give youth a chance as he targets World Cup qualification.

Bellamy has been hugely impressed by what he has seen of Ramsey, but is well aware of the career pitfalls which can hamper the most gifted players.

The West Ham striker believes Arsene Wenger's guidance at Emirates Stadium will be key to Ramsey's development, and will be happy to offer his own advice to the 17-year-old.

Special

Bellamy told the Daily Mirror: "Ramsey is special, he is a one-off. He is different to a lot of the boys I have been involved with. He has this ability to glide and show balance.

"I hope he can keep going and develop as he is 17 so it would be an incredible career.

"But he is also at an age where it could go the other way. I know his family and his old man as they are from the same area of Cardiff as me.

"He has enough talented people at his club that he is in good hands and he had a good family behind him to kick him on. He is also under the best manager in the world for me and I just thank God he is Welsh.

"But if he needs to speak to me, I'll always be there."
